Switch statement is the part of conditional structure in c++.
Switch statements are bit faster than if else statements.
The main difference between if else and switch statement is that when you have to check one value or one variable and multiple conditions than it is good to use switch statement. If you have to check multiple values or variables with multiple condition than it is best to use if else statements.
